1 large beefsteak tomato
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced or microplaned
½ teaspoon white pepper
½ teaspoon salt, more to taste
4 slices sourdough bread
1. Cut the beefsteak tomato in half, skin side up. Grate the tomato flesh into a small bowl, making sure to avoid the skin.
2. Mix in salt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, white pepper, and garlic until well combined. Allow 10 minutes for flavors to meld, add additional salt to taste.
3. While flavors meld, preheat your MAXX Air Fryer Oven Grill to 450°F.
4. Liberally brush bread with remaining olive oil, grill sourdough for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until crisp and lightly browned. Top each slice of toast with 1 to 2 tablespoons of the tomato mixture. Serve warm.
