OPEN-FACED ROAST BEEF SANDWICH

Ingredients

½ pound London broil deli roast beef, thinly sliced4 thin slices of sourdough bread
4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
4 tablespoons mayo
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 small green pepper
1 small yellow onion
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

1. Thinly slice green pepper and onion, preferably with a mandolin.

2. In a small saucepan, sauté pepper and onion in the olive oil. Add garlic powder and salt & pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

3. Preheat grill to 1500°F.

4. Mix mayo with horseradish and spread onto each slice of bread. Top with a few slices of roast beef, onion and pepper mixture, and a slice of cheese.

5. Place sandwich on grate positioned closest to the top of the grill and cook until cheese is brown and bubbling.
