Ingredients
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 envelope active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup currants or raisins
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 egg white
1 tbsp water
Icing: 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp milk, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
In a small saucepan, heat the milk, sugar, butter, and salt over medium heat until the butter has melted. Remove from heat and let cool.
In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg and then stir in the cooled milk mixture and the yeast mixture.
Add the flour, currants or raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mixing bowl and stir until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into buns. Place the buns in the air fryer basket.
In a small bowl, beat the egg white and water together and brush the mixture on top of the buns.
Preheat the Kalorik Air Fry Oven to 350°F and bake the buns for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the icing. Drizzle the icing over the buns in the shape of a cross.
