Prep Time: 10-minutes prep

Cooking Time:  20-minutes cooking time

Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Temperature: 400°F (200°C)

Instructions:

  1. Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly, then peel them if desired. Leave the skin on for a more authentic fast food-style experience.
  2. Cut the potatoes into French fry shapes, similar to the size you would find at your favorite fast-food restaurant. Aim for about 1/4-inch thick and 3 to 4 inches long.
  3. Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes. This step helps remove excess starch and results in crispier fries.
  4. After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
  5. Preheat your Kalorik Air Fryer or Kalorik Air Fryer Oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the vegetable oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss the dried potatoes in the oil mixture until they are evenly coated.
  7. Arrange the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if necessary.
  8. Air fry the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket or flipping the fries halfway through for even cooking.
  9. Once cooked, transfer the fries to a serving dish and season with additional salt if desired.

Chef's Tip: For an even closer fast food-style experience, you can double-fry the fries. After the first round of air frying, let the fries cool for a few minutes, then return them to the Kalorik Air Fryer or another 5 minutes at 400°F (200°C) for extra crispiness.

Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy your Crispy Air Fryer Fast Food-Style French Fries on National French Fry Day July 13th or any day you're craving a delicious snack!

Remember to be good and share the joy with your fellow French Fry Lovers.
