Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
Salt & freshly ground pepper
2 slices sharp cheddar cheese, cut into quarters
8 potato slider rolls, cut in half
Butter lettuce leaves
Heirloom tomato, sliced
Red onion, sliced
Bread & butter pickles
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon adobo sauce from a can of chipotles in adobo
Juice of 1/2 lime
Salt & freshly ground pepper
Slider Sauce
Directions
Using a ¼ measuring cup, create eight 2-ounce patties with ground beef, and mold into uniform patties. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
Place patties on trivet in air frying basket. Select the AIR FRY function and cook at 450°F for 8 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
Remove, then place a small square of cheese on top of each patty. Air fry for 1 minute more, until cheese has melted.
Meanwhile, make the slider sauce. Combine mayonnaise, adobo sauce, and lime juice in a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well-combined, and season with salt & pepper to taste.
To assemble the burgers, spread a teaspoon of the sauce on the bottom bun, followed by the lettuce, burger patty, a slice of tomato, red onion, and pickles. Spread another teaspoon of sauce on the top bun. Repeat to make the remaining sliders.
