Ingredients:
For the Char Siu Marinade:
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
For the Char Siu Chicken:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
For the Char Siu Marinade:
- In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, Chinese five-spice powder, and rice vinegar. Mix well.
- Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
For the Char Siu Chicken in Kalorik Air Fryer Oven:
- Preheat your Kalorik Air Fryer Oven to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
- Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 10 minutes.
