Not your average salmon recipe...this salmon is packed full of zesty umami seasoning with a little kick of spice that also goes perfectly with “broccoli’s cool cousin” broccolini! This dish pairs well with a simple side of jasmine rice to absorb all the saucy/spicy flavors.
Ingredients
12 oz Fresh Salmon (brought out to room temperature)
1 bunch (~8oz) Broccolini (washed and trim off any dried ends)
1 Garlic Clove minced finely
1 Tbsp Cooking Oil of choice (higher temperature resistance the better)
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp Za’atar spice blend
¼ tsp of Red Pepper Flakes
To Serve: Squeeze of Lemon Juice
- Optional: serve with a side of Jasmine Rice
- Medium Sized Mixing Bowl
- Spurtle or Spatula
- Parchment Paper
Equipment
Directions
Preheat Kalorik Oven to 400F Air fry (If using an air fryer – no need to preheat)
- In your mixing bowl, gently mix/ coat your salmon and broccolini with all remaining ingredients
Place your seasoned salmon and broccolini on a lined parchment baking pan in the oven or on parchment atop the air fryer trivet
Cook the salmon / broccolini for ~11 min or until you have reached your desired salmon doneness (read chef tips)
When finished cooking, serve with side of jasmine rice and a squeeze of lemon juice, Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Chef’s tips: Take out fresh salmon from fridge 5-10 min prior to cooking and if using frozen salmon , let thaw overnight in fridge. 135F to 140F internal temp is Salmon Cooked Medium: this is when the salmon is at its most buttery / moist stage
