An easier and heathier way to cook Szechuan Chicken in your Kalorik Air Fryer!
My Favorite Air Fryer Szechuan Chicken
1-pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bitesize pieces
1/4-teaspoon black pepper
2-tablespoons Szechuan sauce
2-tablespoons rice vinegar
1-tablespoon hoisin sauce
1-tablespoon sesame oil
2-cloves garlic, minced
1/2-teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2-green onions, thinly sliced
In a medium bowl, combine the chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer oven to 400 0 F.
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, Szechuan sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through, and the sugar is dissolved.
Place the coated chicken pieces in the basket of your air fryer oven. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
Remove the Chicken from the air fryer oven and transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to coat.
Serve the Szechuan Chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds (if using). Enjoy!
