Ingredients

1-pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bitesize pieces
1-tablespoon cornstarch
1/4-teaspoon salt
1/4-teaspoon black pepper
1/4-cup water
2-tablespoons Szechuan sauce
2-tablespoons rice vinegar
1-tablespoon hoisin sauce
1-tablespoon sesame oil
1-teaspoon sugar
2-cloves garlic, minced
1/2-teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2-green onions, thinly sliced

Directions

In a medium bowl, combine the chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
Preheat your air fryer oven to 400 0 F.
In a small saucepan, combine the water, Szechuan sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through, and the sugar is dissolved.
Place the coated chicken pieces in the basket of your air fryer oven. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
Remove the Chicken from the air fryer oven and transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to coat.
Serve the Szechuan Chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds (if using). Enjoy!
